I am so happy to find this instructions, GoDaddy makes it hard to transfer the domains to another hosts. GoDaddy's email simply sucks and to make things worst I just found that the CEO killed an elephant just for fun (http://www.peta.org/). I definitely moving my domain name out of GoDaddy.

Thanks!

I'm sure this is not a godaddy issue. You have to check is google apps account provide the same services as the free account, my assumption is that they are, but you can never know.

I am a free Gmail user. The company I just joined has email through GoDaddy. We used this link to set up a Google APPS Business Account. My BlackBerry (no Enterprise Server) cannot receive, send or communicate in any way with Google Apps. Although ATT/RIM set up my email address (perpetualgreen.net) it never authorized and isn't functional.

My free Gmail works perfectly with my BlackBerry.
I can't tell if this is a GoDaddy issue I need to resolve or a Google Apps issue.
Can you help?
Thanks!

This most helpful, thanks. I had the feeling it should be possible to run my small business emails through a more established provider like google and despite my insistence, the IT guys said it was impossible till I stumbled on your blog.

Now I have set up my business mails to run from gmail even though my emails still appear like they have been sent from my domain
