In my experiences marketing articles and adding content to your site has huge potential in driving traffic. Organically by ranking well in the SEs for long tail keywords, and also socially, by marketing articles on ezine and such. To be honest with you though, this can get old quick. I'm not a writer, and I never have been, NOR do I ever want to be, lol. So I outsource all my article writing to article writing services like Informative Post, where you can pay a small fee to other authors to produce quality content for your site. Ever since I started doing this I have saved so much time to spend working on the things that I am good at. I have never found that article marketing brings in a lot of links though. So to all other webmasters out there, your NEED CONTENT on your site. If you hate writing, you better find someone that can write for you, because your site will never take off without content for the search engines to sink their teeth into.
